  5. PDA Developers (formerly PIE Developers) magazine is a bimonthly technical
  6. journal that focuses on providing developers with in-depth technical and
  7. programming information about the various PDA devices currently available,
  8. including Newton, Psion, Geos, Sharp, HP, and Magic Cap. It includes news,
  9. programming tips and techniques, tutorials and special features, and complete
  10. programs with in-depth descriptions by the authors. It provides a forum for
  11. the dissemination of technical information that doesn't appear in the
  12. manufacturer's official support and publication channels, and a place for
  13. developers to highlight their expertise.

  15. Each issue is divided into distinctive sections for beginning, intermediate,
  16. and advanced PDA developers. Getting Started has features and Q & A-style
  17. sections that focus on concepts and introductory material. Application
  18. Cookbook articles and Chunks focus on explaining the source code of specific
  19. applications and programming techniques for solving specific problems.
  20. Serious Business contains technical features that describer some aspect of
  21. PDA development in detail.

  23. Subscriptions are $60 in the US and Canada, $80 overseas. There is also an
  24. optional source code disk subscription for $60 per year in the US and Canada,
  25. $75 overseas, or $50 with a printed subscription to any location. The source
  26. code disk includes unformatted ASCII text versions of all the articles in
  27. each issue, plus the source code for each program discussed. In addition we
  28. include various developer-oriented goodies like public domain and shareware
  29. utilities, internet reference documents, and more.
